Differences between Democrats and Republicans :
Democrats ( Liberals )
1- Democrats believe their should be laws and regulations for most of what people do.
2- they believe in government assistance for most people that are poor.
3- they believe that the federal government should have an active role in society.
4-generally support welfare programs ( aiding the poor, food stamps, etc….)
5- believe in strong gun control
6- believe in the women right to choose an abortion.
7- separation of church and state ( religion should be not in politics)
8- internationally support aid to other countries and do not support the war.
9- support equality , gay civil unions and gay rights.
10- oppose the death penalty
Republicans: (Conservative)
1- Republicans believe that there should be less laws and regulations towards people.
2- they believe that people should be trusted to make the right decisions.
3- they do not believe the government should play arole in every day lives and Assistance should be limited.
4- they wish that there should be fewer regulations and less taxation.
5- they are in favor of smaller government.
6- they do not support welfare programs and believe people should work for their money.
7-they do not believe in gun control – believe in owning agun is aperson right.
8- they in favor of the death penalty
9- they believe abortion is wrong
10- supportive of the war on terror.
